Very touching.. and heart-melting. This film shows that a dream is worth dying for. You give your life just to savor the feeling of having a dream-come-true.

The background music is nice for it set the mood of the film all through out. There was also a smooth animation. I also admire the ending because they didn't make it bloody, but instead, they made it so fine.. and touching.. as if the kiwi was heading to heaven. :D BANG!

Carla Faye M. If I'm not mistaken the ostrich runs the fastest among all other animals (I heard that the cheetah is next to it. I'm not sure.), so most likely before this short film ends you'd predict that the ostrich would win. But in this story, the penguin is the one who succeeded in the race.

The lesson I got from this short but creative film is that you could win over someone who is bigger than you if you just believe in yourself and if you do have the determination to achieve something.

I admire the concept of the story - simple yet has an impact to the viewers which, I believe is one of the important things an animation should possess. :)

Carla Faye M. But not that brilliant. A story about an old man, living with his dog in an island, hoping that someday he could escape this tragedy that's happening to him. There are some not-so-smart concepts about it. Stan, the old man who was trapped on an island, has built a little house made of wood instead of a boat, first and foremost. This is just so stupid. He was dying waiting for a rescue but he didn't think about how he could best rescue himself at all. Although, there were chances, he is just too unlucky to being able to grab it. And he decided to bulldoze his house(just this time?) and made a flying thing out of it. The thing worked but his dog was so stupid enough to ruin everything when they were already flying. And so, they fell in the ocean. And fell over a shark. Stan was smart to show his stupid dog to the shark and the shark just unexpectedly, became their hero or I may say, savior. lol. Watch the video for you to know why. :)

The animation was choppy but sounds used here was good. Character creation was also pretty good. The dog was cute. Stan looks... ahmm.. old. HAHA. (Oo, alam ko ampanet ng hirit ko. nyahaha.) And the shots of the scenes did help to add life to the film. I enjoyed watching it, somehow. :)

Carla Faye M. He keeps on knocking but the old master was giving a bad facial expression and raised his arm pointing to a direction and shuts the door, as if he wants the boy away. The boy stays outside until the next day - sad and disappointed. He decided to do some meditation. Then, the master went outside and still did the same act-. The boy got impatient and kicked the door and it opened and the master went out and the boy challenged the master to fight him. And again and again and again, the master pointed at the signboard saying "PLEASE USE SIDE ENTRANCE". And the boy felt sorry and just gave him a naughty smile. And it ends there. :)

The film is not that amazing but was creative. The rhythm of the music and sound effects matched with the actions and scenes worked really well, there was good timing. The character creation is good too. It's just that the boy, for me, looks like an alien. HAHA. But the way the animator created him fits his role which is someone who is somewhat stupid. HAHA. toinks. But why doesn't he have a shirt on? topless ah. And there was a cold environment in there. The animators must have made the setting more appropriate.

Carla Faye M. But I just dont understand what it tries to convey. There was nothing significant in this presentation. It's as if it just wanted to show off how awesome the animation was but the concept was, for me, totally useless. Watch this and tell me what you got from it. HAHA. Because, personally, all I got was boredom and you know that feeling realizing in the end that you've just wasted four minutes and thirty seconds of your precious time with something not that worthy. I am overreacting, am I not? :)) But I still appreciate the animation- smooth and overqualified. HAHA. It's just that... well, you know. LOL. :)

Well, this animation isnt as good as what I expected it to be. The story is about two octupi who would do anything to escape the cook. If the cook was so stubborn, much more this couple. LOL. The octupi lovers had struggled so much to get away from the antagonist in the story which is the cook. They passed on difficult situations and it needed so much cooperation from each of them. But these partners just proved that love conquers all. Oh, I kind of sound corny. WHATEVER. :)

I enjoyed the video. The concept was amazing. But the style of the creation of the characters looks somehow like a clay. The cook especially. However, it was still good. There was a smooth flow on the animation and the sounds they used were proper for each of the scenes. Over all, this is a 9/10 for me. :))

Carla Faye M. I find the story bright. There's this shrimp which just finds its own way of living. And this another water creature which is the fish, the pink one which looks like a pirana who as well finds something to put in his tummy. The world is round, that is. :) And then this fish chases after him and the shrimp, of course, runs away from this frightening fish. The shrimp is a bit wise because he was able to play with the fish without having to struggle too much. And then he found himself in a zone full of dead bodies- skeletons of some creatures. He noticed that he was still followed by the pirana and so he entered into a bottle for he knows he wont be harmed there. And the pirana still tries to get that shrimp out of the bottle. And then suddenly, a shark was at his back - also trying to find a way to live. HAHA. The same thing happens to the pirana - he was being chased after but the shark did not succeed too. :) He was faced with a group of pirana and he was dumbfounded and these piranas ate him to death- to skeletons. LOL.

BANG! The animation was really cool. I love the background music and the sound effects. They made a great emphasis on what they are trying to show to the viewers. Every sound effect perfectly suits the action of the characters, of the setting. It keeps you going on the animation! like what it did to me. :) The smoothness of the animation was also great.

Well, this video also has a lesson for everyone. Don't understimate the little ones. They can win over you. LOL. And yes, with the help of others, one can be strong like the pirana. And yes, the shrimp was small but wise. :) And those bullies out there, the evil shall always pay in the end. Dont be too sharky. HAHA. :)) whatta word.

Carla Faye M. A kid who got office-called and he brought someone to accompany him- someone who tries to help him be good in class but he refuses to admit his own shortcomings though there are proofs about them. The script is humorous and is realistic. I did enjoy it especially the last part of the animation where the one with the headphone still decided to help. LOL. :)

bang!! The animation was pretty cool and funny. The way characters were created were cool. I like the one with the headphone. LOL. The movement was a little choppy but still good. It isnt pixar's work, so it is understood. He was flying something really weird above the skies. And he was enjoying what he sees up there- the clouds and the things he could see from there. He saw two strange creatures - each having a super long pair of legs made of bamboo, I guess. And these guys were having a little quarrel about a box. And when the box fell, they left it neither of them can pick it up. The kid got nearer to that box and the box opened and something came out which gave him a punch on the face. Then, back to reality-- he woke up with some of things in his dream found in his room. :)

This is a great animation! I believe that it is done by a pro. Although he wasn't in the mood to play with her, there's nothing he could do, she owns him. So he played even he was dying to get to sleep again. Then, after a few minutes he thought of a way to stop the crappy game- he acted like he threw the ball so far so that the girl will have a hard time finding it and he'll be able to take a great slumber but the truth is, the ball was just in his hand. Very nice tactic, isn't it? But if I were Chester, I'd throw the ball at that annoying girl. :p And the girl returned and threw at him a yellow flat thing. Maybe a flat tennis ball, I guess. LOL. And the story ends there. :)

Well, I noticed that Chester has no neck. This video is cool. It really is.

This is a simple animation about a dog who pees under a tree and only there. He started peeing there since it is small and just starting to grow until it became a large tree already. And I guess, he thinks that the tree got bigger and taller because he pees there. And then one day, he got shocked when he saw the tree being cut. He got mad to the illegal logger and then he found himself crying and he screamed out. I liked how the animator made the dog's facial expression in here. He went to the city very mad and decided to take revenge-- he peed on people!
That's the end. Oh, maybe not. "Stop cutting trees. Recycle paper" was the last scene of the video. :)

This video showed a funny way of telling people not to cut trees and do recycle papers. :)
I found the story brilliant. The dog looked scary but I wish I had a dog like that- somebody who's sensitive enough about his surrounding. . except for his evil side of having to pee at people. lol.
I also love the sound effects, the guitar. It set the mood of the story. Although the animation was not as great as the others, it was still good. :)

Carla Faye M. The animators made it so cute that it really awakened me. I felt sleepy before I watched this. lol.

Anyway, the short animation is about a man who doesn't know how to start writing a love letter for the girl of his dreams named Natasha. He has written words which he thinks and believes really suck. His waste basket is already full with balled up papers and to make things worse, his room is surrounded by these papers. (Oh, he's such a loser. What do you think? LOL.) He sings songs and still he isn't satisfied with the words of the song. He wanted to be with this girl till his dying day. He tries to sound poetic and sweet but he just couldn't write what he really wanted to say in his letter. He becomes disappointed of himself. And the ending? The balled up papers that surround him formed the words,"WILL YOU MARRY ME?".

Oh, isn't that very creative? That is! I enjoyed and loved watching it. Not only because of the story but also because of the cool animation it has shown. The man looks like someone who really needs to be married. The character they created fits for their animation. The movements of the character is flexible and his when he speaks, the opening and closing of the mouth is somehow realistic. The sound effects are perfect for the setting too. The creators of this animation did a great job. They made it soo romantic and awesome. :)

Carla Faye M. He's green and yes, he's cute- which means the creation of the character is good. Simple yet adorable. :) This green alien got off from a spaceship, most likely and he found himself in a place which could be unusual to him. He farts loud and worse, it stinks and so he laughs at himself. [I wonder how it smells like. :)] Then, a big and heavy thing fell giving a strong impact and a loud boom sound and then the alien stumbled down. He gets up and tries to push the wall. Maybe he wanted to go to the other side. He even challenged the wall, which is a little bit funny, and showed a skill in martial arts. The animation here is really cool and the character was graceful doing that karate thing. Nothing happens and he gets mad even more. He gave his strongest punch and still the wall remains intact. And he becomes sad about it, then he said something to the wall (which I haven't understood even when I played it back a lot of times. Poor me). He decided to walk away and as he walks, the wall fell over him. Then, that's it.

Cool animation. Funny. The animation made me laugh, really, even though it has a sad ending. Ironic, that is. Tsk. He should initially have gone around if he wanted to go to the other side, the place was spacious, right? or used the three red blocks to climb over the wall. Well, I know why he didn't think of doing it. :D Do you? The animator did a good job on the background music and the creativity in the story was amazing. The animation all in all is a two-thumb up! :)

Carla Faye M. He misses Jill so much and wishes to see her. But Jill is in a far away land and so, the only way to be with her is for him to reminisce their memories. He sat in that place where they've always bonded together. Well, that's the idea of my short film.

This is a group activity. We are six in our group. Each and everyone had worked for the success of this short film exercise. Vince made the sketch of the story but it was brainstormed by all of the members of the group. He is also the director. We had Caroline as "Jill" and Mikhail as "Jack". It was supposed to be Jaryl Chiong but he didnt appear on the scheduled shooting day. Mikhail did a good job, anyway. Tennyl Canlas was the cameraman and I assisted the director and guided the actor and actress too. Kinarir ko, dude. Hahah. Mark Tubo helped on the pre-production and during-production stage as well.

It's my first time to edit a video. It was made possible by Adobe Premiere Pro and of course Mr. Ryann Elumba, our teacher, for giving me the knowledge on how to use this video editing software. I did enjoy on shooting and also in editing. But it wasn't that easy and fast. You need to review on what kind of music to put on it and also you have to be a keen observer while you're shooting. You've got to look at every corner and make sure there is consistency in your shots. It's nice to know that we've experienced how it is to shoot and to edit in order to come up with a short film. It was quite challenging and yeah, it was great. :D

Carla Faye M. Written in comfortable Taglish, it contains Lee's insights gathered from his 18 years of successful scriptwriting and teaching. A valuable tool not only for those who want to write scripts but for everybody who feels passionately for films.

If you're going to read this book, you'll discover different ways on how to arrive at Quiapo. But it won't teach you how. You yourself, will do it. Just like in the art of writing, nobody teaches you how to write, you are the one teaching yourself. The book will only share with you the experiences that a writer encounters. There are three kinds of writers who want to go to Quiapo, as Mr. Lee said in his manual. The first writer is the one who would study and familiarize the road where people often pass by going to Quiapo and would follow it. The second one is the one who would take the risks passing by in different place, meet different people and would take the different road but still arrives at Quiapo. Lastly, he is the one who is venturous and who dares to take different paths and soon discovers a new road going to Quiapo and who knows, people will follow that road often times and maybe that road makes the ride to Quiapo faster than the two roads taken by the two writers,it would surely make him the best writer among the three of them.

There's this so-called "little man" inside us who makes us afraid to write. When we're hurt, depressed, angry, and when mood swings, this little man would stop us from writing. And this little man is none other than our own self. The worst enemy of a writer is his own self. Mr. Lee stressed that writing is an act of faith. You need to believe in yourself that you can do something that would be beautiful to others and if you fail, you can look the view above you, in front, left or right side and you will see people opening their arms wide to help you and encourage you to go for it.. for your dreams. We need to listen to these people because we need to exercise our imagination to be able to create good scripts again. A writer should be open to suggestions. Because there's no such thing as a perfect script. A script becomes better and better when it is revised. Not just once but a lot of times. And sometimes the script you submit would be changed, your ideas are there but the whole content of the script has been changed. It's nice to know that you have written something that you believe is really good but it's heartbreaking to know that it gets rejected in the end or accepted yet no producer plans to buy it or worse, people who have the power will change your script and only the ending has been retained. But as the old cliche goes, experiences are the best teachers. They teach us to become a better and refined person especially if we are really hurt. The experience is the most important thing to consider when wanting to become a good writer, not the output. Although you're feelings would be hurt a lot of times, you must still continue writing. You must convince yourself that you could still write. Why? Because there are rewards. This is the exciting part. When your script is approved and would later become a film, little would you know that you've touched lives. And this is enough as a reward. Isn't it? There are also other rewards that money can't replace. - the joy you get in this creative journey, people who inspire you by saying you are a good writer and those people who impart knowledge with you for you to be better. The time and money spent, blood and tears you've shed would be all worth it in the end.

The book is very informative and is very useful for aspiring writers. But it would not guarantee that you'd become the first-rate type of writer. There are several rules on how to start and on how to keep going and of course how to end a script for a film. You'll start with the genre of the story, the roles of the characters, plots, the elements of the concept, the problems in the story and the what-ifs in the journey of the movie, the meaning of the story, its vision and its message to the viewers/audience. But in the this journey, it is the dedication to write that truly matters. And as you go far, you carry a bunch of learning with you.

Carla Faye M. I've learned that storyboarding, which is a sketch of how to organize a story and a list of its contents, are used by designers to illustrate and organize their ideas and obtain feedback. Camera shots, camera angles, and the roles of the the crew were also discussed. We also watched short films that showed the different shots used, angles and the feel of the movie. Mr. Ryann Elumba was the speaker for the said activity. He introduced us the advantages in blogging and how to have a creative successful blog. I, three years ago, have explored the world of blogs. I enjoyed blog-hopping and learned things in reading blogs of my link buddies. I also enjoyed putting myself into the gaze of others. People will analyze your words and lifestyle. Some will want to know more about you and some might even recognize you in public. There are consequences though. But I stopped blogging because I started getting tired posting stories of my life- about school and even personal stuff. But hey, in the seminar held, I learned that we could make money in blogging. Post consistently, just enjoy writing and after a year or two, you would be able to earn money. But you have to consider the content of your blog to make it successful. Your content needs to be useful and unique to your readers. It's like finding out what your customer wants and give it to them. It is essential that you are aware of your readers and that you create content that will add something to their lives. Sir shared with us what a "useful content" is. It would be good if your posts will be something about entertainment, so it adds the interest of bloggers to your entries, education so that your visitors would learn about a certain topic, news to update something to your readers, or anything that you think would last even you're gone. (Oh, that's exaggeration I guess.) Also, put some ads on your blog. :)

Look blogging as a journey. In a journey, you'll encounter different experiences and you'll learn. Find time to blog, be consistent, be patient and wait for the reward! :D And always remember, just enjoy.

Carla Faye M. GOOD.

Hi. Did you read my title? I know you wonder what CAI is. So allow me to give you what the acronym means. CAI stands for Computer-Aided Instructions. -- Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI), diverse and rapidly expanding spectrum of computer technologies that assist the teaching and learning process. CAI is also known as computer-assisted instruction. Examples of CAI applications include guided drill and practice exercises, computer visualization of complex objects, and computer-facilitated communication between students and teachers. CAI tools, such as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases, collect, organize, analyze, and transmit information. They also facilitate communication among students, between students and instructors, and beyond the classroom to distant students, instructors, and experts. I got this information from msn encarta.

This project, as I gave you an idea above, offers tutorials about the different programs a computer-minded student could learn such as programming using QBasic (for students of all major), computer science using java (for computer science majors), tutorial for computer graphics and etc. This strategy can increase student's learning and be knowledgeable to information. They will be able to respond to instructions and appreciate the private learning process and environment. It's also advantageous because it improves the students' attitude in self-studying. Moreover, computer-learning experiences often engage the interest of students, motivating them to learn and increasing independence and personal responsibility for education. This system teach students to have the determination and motivation in performing in a school environment with complex virtual worlds. Instructional activities are more understandable having the CAI project. Everyone would benefit from computer interactions and would progress in their personal responsibility for education. This system could be effective if you have the attitude. What matters most is the dedication to learn. :)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fayeless.blogspot.com/2008/01/cai-is-pretty-good.html' title='CAI is pretty. . . Compressed video can effectively reduce the bandwidth required to transmit digital video terrestrial broadcast, via cable, or via satellite services.

So, why is digital video compressed?

Digital video is compressed because it takes up a staggering amount of room in its original form. By compressing the video, you make it easier to store. Digital video can be compressed without impacting the perceived quality of the final product because it affects only the parts of the video that humans can't really detect. For example, there are billions of colors, but we perceive only about 1024 shades. Since we can't discern the subtle difference between one shade and the next we don't have to keep every color. There's also the matter of redundant images—if every frame in a 60–second video has the same chair in the same spot, why save the data of that chair in every frame?

Compressing video is essentially the process of throwing away data for things we can't perceive. Standard digital video cameras compress video at a ratio of 5 to 1, and there are formats that allow you to compress video by as much as 100 to 1. But too much compression can be a bad thing. The more you compress, the more data you throw away. Throw away too much, and the changes become noticeable. With heavy compression you can get video that's nearly unrecognizable.

When you compress video, always try several compression settings. The goal is to compress as much possible until the data loss becomes noticeable and then notch the compression back a little. That will give you the right balance between file size and quality. And remember that every video is different—some videos look great highly compressed, others don't. You'll have to experiment to get the best results.

source: microsoft.com

Carla Faye M. Just dont make a big deal out of the talking bee and the crying-for-justice scene in the court. Hahah. It was my first time to watch that movie and to tell you honestly, I learned something out of that cheesy, unbelievable yet fun story. :)

Lesson number 1 for me was on a particular scene where Barry(the bee on the picture below) wanted to see life out of their beehouse or beehive for life isnt just about the honey, there's more than that. And when he got out, he found a friend and felt something he hasnt felt inside the beehive. Well here, I realized that we people must also explore things and try new things to at least have good experiences, have fun and make life worth-living. We should not just always stick to our routines. Life is so short after all. Next is when he found out that there's an injustice act that's going on outside. In this scene where his friend, Vanessa, really supports him to fight the honey industry's corruption and brought the case to the court(yes, an impossible thing.) let me realize that no matter how small you are in size, you could win over big people as long as you know you are right. The truth shall always prevail, as they say.

This film also showed good background music and cinematography and most especially, bee movie showed that in reality, not-so-good situations are always present to let mankind see that there wouldn't be a rainbow without the <strike>little</strike> rain just like when hundreds of bees were caught by the human beings and were suffering very much making honey through out their lives yet in the end, they got their beedom. For the humans, it is called freedom. Hahah. Kidding, dude. :D The world isnt perfect and life isn't just about the honey... as I've mentioned earlier. :)

Carla Faye M. Digital film started from 1980th. In the history of film developing, digital technology is the most fleetly that separated to all aspects of filmmaking.

Until recently, Hollywood studios were the only ones who had the money to pay for digital tools and for the labor involved in producing digital effects. However, the shift to digital media affects not just Hollywood, but filmmaking as a whole. As traditional film technology is universally being replaced by digital technology, the logic of the filmmaking process is being redefined.

Someone defined digital video in this way: Live action footage is now only raw material to be manipulated by hand: animated, combined with 3-D computer generated scenes and painted over. The final images are constructed manually from different elements; and all the elements are either created entirely from scratch or modified by hand. (What is Digital Cinema?)

The earliest use of moving pictures was an outgrowth of magic lanterns and similar optical devices, which could be used to display a sequence of still images in such a way that the eye would perceive the images as being in motion. With the development of photography, film became possible to record moving pictures as well. The use of film also made it more feasible to use a projection system to display images for audiences, when other techniques sometimes required the individual to look into the device to see the pictures.

In 1999, Digital cinema demonstrations to the public begin. On June 19th in four theatres, two on the West coast and two on the East coast. Lucas Films and 20th Century Fox debuted Star Wars: Episode 1 -- The Phantom Menace as the first major motion picture theatrically exhibited as digital cinema using a Pluto digital storage system in the D-5 compression format. In 2000, February, digital cinema demonstrations go international with two theaters equipped in London, England, one Manchester, England, one in Brussels, Belgium, one in Paris, France and one in Tokyo, Japan for all digital showings of Toy Story 2. In 2001, January, Japan opens the first totally digital cinema theatre. In 2002, As of March 1st digital cinema technology has now been exposed to over four million movie-goers throughout the world. These digital cinema demonstrations began on June 18th 1999. Since that time, over 30 movies have been released in an all-digital form.

To understand digital video, we must first understand that there is a difference between video for broadcast television and video for personal computers. Broadcast professionals have, and will continue to, demand high quality video. Their efforts and requirements are responsible for many advancements in the technology of digital video.

Computers and digital videos have now reached the stage where it is already possible to have high quality production- the colors, the matching of the audio and your video and lots of new features are now available that made the video industry improve. Compare the black-and-white video scenes you've watched with the videos you've taken using your digicams. Observe the audio quality and motion on each scene. These days, color can be more accurate, motions on each scene can be smooth. And that is because digital video has evolved through the years. See how amazing humans are! :D Machines are getting better and better and people are getting smarter. or I may say, getting more ignorant with all those high-tech equipments that are out in the market today. Ü (Well, count me in. :D *up here* hahah.)

Guys, if you want to search for videos, veoh is a good video site! aside from the most popular youtube. :D
reference: http://wiki.media-culture.org.au

Carla Faye M. Film-making is never easy. You need people that would make your project a fantastic, amazing, and pretty professional one. Well, let's take a peek on the roles and functions of the so-called "gang of a film".

A film producer creates the conditions for making movies. The producer is involved throughout all phases of the filmmaking process from development to completion of a project. It is the production manager's responsibility to make sure the filming stays on schedule and within its budget. Whoa, great responsibility in here. Well, he/she must have the passion.

The director is responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of a film, including controlling the content and flow of the film's plot, directing the performances of actors, organizing and selecting the locations in which the film will be shot, and managing technical details such as the positioning of cameras, the use of lighting, and the timing and content of the film's soundtrack. Though the director wields a great deal of power, he or she is ultimately subordinate to the film's producer or producers. Some directors, especially more established ones, take on many of the roles of a producer, and the distinction between the two roles is sometimes blurred. I guess, the old cliche "with great power comes great responsibility" fits the director. hahah.

The property master, more commonly known as the props master, is in charge of finding and managing all the props that appear in the film. The propsmaster usually has several assistants. Well, you could hire me guys if you want to. I can stay awake the whole and make the props. Just like what I did when we made the float for the parade. Hahah. :D (FLOOOOATTT... ibigay ang sa float! LOL.

Make-up artists are beauticians that apply makeup to anyone appearing on screen. They concentrate on the area above the chest, the face, the top of the head, the fingers, hands, arms, and elbows. Their role is to manipulate an actors on screen appearance whether it makes them look more youthful, larger, older, or in some cases monstrous. There are also body makeup artist who concentrate their abilities on the body rather than the head. Ate Dawn would be qualified to be one of them. I still can't forget that make-up kit of hers. Everything was already there! Hahah.

The costume designer is responsible for all the clothing and costumes worn by all the actors that appear on screen. He/She is also responsible for designing, planning, and organizing the construction of the garments down to the fabric, colors, and sizes. The costume designer works closely with the director to understand and interpret "character," and counsels with the production designer to achieve an overall tone of the film. There's one thing you don't know about me guys. I'll tell you now. I love designing. Unfortunately, not costumes. Hahah. :D

The term cinematographer has been a point of contention for some time now. It is usually synonymous with "director of photography," though some professionals insist that it only applies when the director of photography and camera operator are the same person. Jan Vincent Santos, hello. Hahah. Kidding. Ü

The production sound mixer is head of the sound department on set, responsible for recording all sound during filming. This involves the choice and deployment of microphones, operation of a sound recording device, and sometimes the mixing of audio signals in real time. Hey, hey. This sounds interesting, doesnt it? hahah.

The visual effects supervisor is in charge of the visual effects department. Visual effectsspecial effects, which are done during production (on set).

The refer to post-production alterations to the film's images. They are not to be confused with sound designer, or "supervising sound editor", is in charge of the post-production sound of a movie. Sometimes this may involve great creative license, and other times it may simply mean working with the director and editor to balance the sound to their liking.

The lighting technician's duties include the placement and focus of lighting fixtures for any given scene to be photographed, distribution of power and work lights around the set and support areas (including actor's trailers, portable production offices, catering, etc.), management of electrical generators, and providing electricity to all support services and departments on the set.

A script supervisor or continuity is a member of a film crew responsible for maintaining the film's internal continuity and for marking the production unit's daily progress in shooting the film's screenplay.

Hmmm.. These are the people behind the camera and the films out there. They do their best to reach your expectations or just satisfy you or I may say, themselves. :)

Carla Faye M.
